What is organic NPK?
An organic NPK fertilizer provides nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) together in a single formulation, but with a fundamental difference from conventional mineral salts: each nutrient source is of plant or natural mineral origin, without chemical synthesis. In Ecoganic BALANCE products, nitrogen comes from plant amino acids, phosphorus from organic-origin phosphates, and potassium from chloride-free sources.
Conventional NPK salts (ammonium nitrate, DAP, potassium chloride) are soluble and effective, but accumulate salts in the soil over time, acidify the soil profile and are not suitable for certified organic production. Organic NPK provides the same macronutrients but in forms the plant assimilates gradually, without salinity peaks or burn risk.
The 33–35% amino acid combination in the formulation acts as an endogenous biostimulant: it improves root absorption efficiency, reduces leaching losses and boosts the development of soil microbial biomass, which in turn releases more nutrients available to the crop.

What is the difference between BALANCE 7-7-7 and BALANCE 6-3-18?
BALANCE 7-7-7 has a balanced N:P:K ratio (7% each) and is designed for the vegetative growth phase, when the plant needs to build leaf, root and stem structure in a balanced way. BALANCE 6-3-18 has lower N (6%), minimal P (3%) and high K (18%): it is the ripening and quality formula, because potassium regulates sugar transport to fruits, improves size and increases Brix degrees.
Can both BALANCE products be used in the same program?
Yes, and it is the recommended strategy. From germination to the start of flowering, BALANCE 7-7-7 is applied to build vegetative biomass. From flowering to harvest, switch to BALANCE 6-3-18 to maximize fruit accumulation. Both are soluble powders compatible with each other and with most crop protection products and biostimulants in the program.
Do organic NPK fertilizers replace or complement conventional fertilization?
They can fulfill both functions. In certified organic production, BALANCE products are the main NPK supply of the program since no suitable conventional alternative exists. In conventional production, they are used as a complement to reduce mineral salt quantities without losing nutritional efficiency, leveraging amino acids as nutrition-associated biostimulants.
Are they suitable for certified organic production under SENASA in Argentina?
Yes. Ecoganic BALANCE fertilizers are certified under CE 2018/848 (European Organic Farming Regulation), the highest standard worldwide. In Argentina, equivalence with SENASA Resolution 374/2020 is direct for CE-certified inputs. Consult with your local certification body for validation within your organic management plan.
How are soluble powder NPK fertilizers applied?
BALANCE powders dissolve directly in the fertigation tank at room temperature. Indicative dose: 3–5 kg/ha per foliar or drip application. No pre-solution or heating required. Compatible with most liquid biostimulants in the Ecoganic range (BOOST UNIVERSAL, K-FLOW, PHOSMAX 20). Always verify compatibility before mixing complex sprays.
